Who IS WHITE LIGHTER?

An energetic force hailing from Cincinnati, White Lighter is a grunge-infused alternative rock band blending a colorful mix of subgenres & reshaping the boundaries of rock music. The band fuses the folk and country influence of Kentucky with the soulful funk and rock history of Ohio, and consists of lead guitar Ethan Qureshi, bassist Hallie Menkhaus, and drummer Christian LeDuc, helmed by lead singer Ben Jervis.

Performing regularly now each month, White Lighter originally formed in 2018 through friendships at the University of Cincinnati & an open mic night. Former bassist Dan Matthews, former guitarist Rob Mandujano and drummer Christian LeDuc became friends in the UC marching band during the summer of 2018, and formed a band after hearing singer Ben Jervis at an open mic night and later inviting him to jam. After a few lineup changes, hard work, and the most captivating performances, White Lighter has cemented itself as a staple in the Cincinnati music scene, as well as on streaming platforms.

Their first album was released in 2021, and by 2024, the band has grown a global following of more than 5,000 monthy listeners on Spotify, with their top song acquiring more than 35,000 streams. Currently, bandmates Ethan Qureshi, Hallie Menkhaus, Ben Jervis and Christian LeDuc are working diligently on creating exhilarating music, including their new EP, and are continuing to grow their fanbase, with a goal to keep delivering good vibes and expand their reach as much as possible.
